Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Thursday charged successful people to share their stories in order to impress on young people that the road to success is not always smooth.
The Governor made this known through the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tunji Bello at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, during the public presentation of a book “Skin For Skin: The Prima Garnet Story”, written by Mr. Lolu Akinwunmi.
Ambode noted that the celebrant took a wise decision to celebrate the milestone with the public presentation of a book written by him, adding that the success story of Prima Garnet is a testament to the personality and character of the celebrant.
In his words, “I sincerely appreciate your decision to document for posterity, the story of your life journey to serve as a reference and source of inspiration to others who aspire to achieve greatness in their chosen endeavour”.
He added that at 60, the celebrant has made his mark as an accomplished professional and one of the foremost players in the advertising Industry not only in Nigeria but also across Africa, stressing that efforts such as his would go a long way in ensuring the success of the various government initiatives aimed at building successful entrepreneurs.

The Governor stressed that beyond the issue of funding, young entrepreneurs need some level of mentoring through which they would be availed the benefit of learning from the experience of others.
Also speaking, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, said the celebrant is committed to achieving greatness always, especially through the trying times.
He charged everyone, especially young people, to emulate the celebrant in their daily activities as he has always been doing the ideal in all his dealings, saying “There is no success until we breathe our last”.
