The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board Executive Chairman, Dr. Ganiyu Sopeyin has charged stakeholders in primary schools to maintain all infrastructure and amenities provided by the State government and philanthropists for qualitative and quantitative delivery of basic education.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ forum recently, Sopeyin noted that government has done a lot in the area of providing qualitative and quantitative education in the State, adding that such efforts need to be complemented by all stakeholders in all the public primary schools.
According to him, “Lagos State government alone cannot do everything, government efforts need to be complemented because of the peculiarities of education. It is the only legacy that can be given to our children which would forever be beneficial to them”.
The Chairman, who was represented by the Board Secretary, Mrs. Ajimoti Foluso Kehinde, also called on other stakeholders to emulate SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria by supporting the State government in the area of infrastructure provision, stressing that nothing is too small.
