The Lagos State Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with an NGO (Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption – RoLAC) has organised a three-day retreat for Prosecutors and Administrative Staff in the Directorate of Public Prosecutions at the Pelican International Hotel, Lekki.
The Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Funlola Odunlami, in a keynote address on ‘Etiquette and Attitude to work’, enjoined participants to be diligent and dedicated in carrying out their official duties and responsibilities.
She commended the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for its hard work, service delivery and commitment towards ensuring the progress and development of the judicial process in the State.
In her remarks at the event, the Director of Public Prosecutions in the Ministry, Ms. Titilayo Shitta-Bey expressed appreciation to RoLAC for collaborating with the State government, through the Ministry, to organise the retreat in order to develop and enhance the capacity of Prosecutors and Administrative Staff in the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
She also thanked the participants for their exemplary dedication to duty and advised them to use the newly acquired knowledge gained at the retreat to improve on their respective jobs, stressing that the reward for hard work is more work.
