Lagos State civil servants have been urged to embrace a growth mindset against the fixed mindset in order to renew their thoughts and attitude towards transformation and better performance at service delivery.
The appeal was made by Mrs. Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa of the Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation (OTCI) at a workshop held for officers of the State Education District III.
She disclosed that the purpose of the OTCI was to enhance the acceleration of work in the Civil service by bringing new ideas since innovation knows no race and gender.
Anjous-Ademuyiwa advised officers to work as a team, saying that inclusiveness and embedding culture of growth mindset in the business process changes the narrative, timeliness and staff attitude.
She implored the District staff to keep a growth mindset because the Lagos State government intends to institutionalise the culture of creativity and innovation in the public service.
In her remarks, the Tutor General/Permanent Secretary of Education District III, Mrs. Margaret Titilayo Solarin narrated her experience, on how keeping a growth mindset accelerated her growth in service.
She, therefore, encouraged all participants to engage in distinctive innovative ideas and creativity in order to attain rapid progress in their individual careers.
