In line with the present administration’s commitment to efficient management and maintenance of public infrastructure, the Lagos State Government has handed over its newly commissioned 110-bed Maternal and Child Centre (MCC) in Eti-Osa to facility managers for proper maintenance of the infrastructure.
The handover ceremony which took place at the centre in Eti-Osa had in attendance the Centre’s Medical Director, Dr. Mustapha Quadri, officials of LASIAMA and the Facility Managers.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Mustapha Quadri commended the State government for the swiftness in appointing the facility managers, noting that the State government has demonstrated its commitment to efficiency in public infrastructure maintenance and determination to deliver standard and efficient health care to mothers and children.
In his words, “I am particularly delighted with the speed at which the state government appointed the Facility Managers. It shows the seriousness of the government to health care delivery and ensuring that the edifice is well maintained for durability”.
In his remarks, the CEO, Medcourt Support Services Ltd, Gboyega Oridota assured that they will adhere strictly to the scope of work as highlighted by government and promised that the MCC will be effectively cleaned and maintained at all times.
The MCC was recently completed and unveiled by Governor Sanwo-Olu to improve the quality of healthcare accessible by mothers, children and newborn babies in Eti Osa and its environs.
