Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has restated his commitment to enhancing the Ease of Doing Business (EoD) in the State, stressing his administration’s determination to provide the enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
Speaking at the 10th anniversary of Edmark Group of Companies and the first-year anniversary of D’Podium International Events Centre, Ikeja, the Governor stated that the celebration of commencing business in Nigeria and Lagos State, in particular, was a testament to the rising profile of the State as a major economic hub and destination for investment.
Sanwo-Olu, represented at the event by the Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, congratulated the management and staff of the Edmark Group for the milestone achievements recorded in the past decade.
He assured the group of the government’s commitment to providing infrastructural development, adequate security for the protection of lives, property and investment as well as the implementation of business-friendly policies.
“As you celebrate a decade of great achievements and look into the future with great expectations, I urge you to continue to be a law-abiding corporate organisation and also support government initiatives to make the environment more conducive for business, living and leisure”, he said.
He stressed that the Government would continue to forge a symbolic relationship between the Public and the Private sectors as one of the ways by which the growth of the economy could be fast-tracked, while also enhancing productivity and creating employment opportunities for the youths.
