LASG TRAINS OFFICERS ON IMPLEMENTATION OF RESILIENCE STRATEGY

In order to effectively implement the Lagos Resilience Strategies (LSR), the Lagos State Government held a three-day retreat on performance appraisal and capacity building training for the Management Staff of the Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO).

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB), Mrs. Abiola Liadi, who spoke during the opening session of the retreat, noted that the Strategic Management Retreat would help the staff to appraise their performances for the year.

Mrs. Liadi encouraged the participants to put in their best for increased performance by ensuring good working relationship with other officials of the Office.

She said, “As Management Staff, you need to create a good working relationship with other officers in order to achieve the set goals of the present administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda”, stressing that teamwork remains the best way to achieve improved service delivery.

The Chief Resilience Officer of LASRO, Dr. Folayinka Dania, remarked that the workshop/training with the theme “Strategic Thinking and Building Resilience Values”, was aimed at reviewing the level of performance and commitment to the strategies and initiatives of the Office.

While expressing optimism about building a resilient Lagos, the Chief Resilience Officer maintained that regular updates and collaboration with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) was very key in achieving the set goals of Lagos Resilience Strategy (LRS).

The Head of Administration and Human Resource of LASRO, Mrs. Toyin Bamigboye, who commended the State Government for approving the workshop, noted that the Strategic Management Workshop would help participants to review their performances over the years and come up with a new strategic approach that will lead to the implementation of the LRS.
