LASG CALLS ON BADAGRY RESIDENTS TO MARKET TOURISM SITES
The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Ganiyat Oloruntoyin Atekoja has advocated proper positioning and marketing of the various tourism assets and sites in Badagry, just as she also made a case for the maintenance of all tourism assets across the State.
She made the plea recently during a One-day familiarization visit to some tourist sites in the ancient town of Badagry, including Idadi Community, Slave Trade Market Museum Vlekete, Heritage Museum and First Storey Building in Nigeria among others
Atekoja also visited Lagos Theatre, Badagry where she urged the management of the Theatre to be indigenous, ingenious and creative about various content that can further encourage residents of the area to appreciate theatrical works.
According to her, the State Government put all the structures in place to encourage residents of the area to appreciate the works of art and also for entertainment purposes in line with the government’s vision for the tourism and entertainment industry.
