In preparation for the year 2024 pilgrimage exercise to the Holy Lands of Israel and Jordan, the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) has commenced the distribution of welfare materials to intending pilgrims.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Board Secretary of LSCPWB, Mrs. Yetunde Gbafe stated that the provision of welfare materials was undertaken to ensure uniformity, comfort, and a sense of belonging amongst pilgrims in the course of the pilgrimage exercise.
Mrs. Gbafe further stated that the unique uniformity will distinguish Lagos Pilgrims from their counterparts from other States and Countries during the pilgrimage exercise.
The 2024 pilgrimage exercise, which is aimed at enhancing and regenerating the spiritual life of the intending pilgrims, has reached an advanced stage for a hitch-free pilgrimage.
She stated that a day seminar will be held for operation staff to educate them on their roles and responsibilities in the course of the journey.
Gbafe hinted that the date for the Service of Dedication, where pilgrims and operations staff will be prayed for, will be announced as soon as the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) gives a definite date for the airlifting of pilgrims.
Some of the welfare materials provided include travelling boxes, clothing materials, stationery, mufflers, face caps, head warmers, and cardigans, among others.
