The Coordinator of the Lagos State School of Nursing Complex, Igando, Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga has disclosed that the first set of students of the school since relocation from Awolowo Road, Ikoyi has recorded 100% success in their final examination.
Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga, who disclosed this recently, said that the remarkable achievement is a testimony to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode led administration’s commitment to quality, efficient and effective education policy in the State.
She commended the role of the State Government in re-establishing the Complex, the part played by the Ministry of Health through the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris as well as the Directorate of Nursing Services, Management and Staff of all clinical and community practise areas.
She also thanked the Head of the School and staff for the achievement, saying, “More grease to your elbows, we shall not rest on our oars as we hope to continue to uphold the success with other sets coming after them.”
The Coordinator explained that 39 students were presented for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria final qualifying examination upon completion of the stipulated three-year programme in November 2016 with100 percent success recorded in the National Examination.
Recall that the Lagos State School of Nursing, Igando was given a provisional accreditation from the regulatory body in November 2013.
