Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has introduced a new online interactive platform, citizensgate.lagosstate.gov.ng, to further strengthen its governance of inclusion policy in administering of the State.
Speaking while delivering his keynote address during the 2nd Quarter Year 2017 Town Hall Meeting, the 7th in the series held at Shibiri/Ekunpa Area Office of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area, Governor Ambode urged Lagosians to avail themselves the advantage of the opportunity provided by the online platform as it would serve as a feedback mechanism for his government.
He said further that the platform is first of its kind being deployed by any government in Nigeria with the main objective of bringing government closer to the people.
Ambode stated also that the platform is for instant interaction with government thereby allowing citizens to tell government its strong points and also highlight its inadequacies.
The Governor said the platform is aimed at enabling this administration to “respond quickly, succinctly to citizen requests or inquiries for answers to questions and general information about policies, practices and procedures.”
