The Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Security and Intelligence, Mr. Kunle Ajanaku has reiterated the present administration’s commitment to harnessing its resources all around the State.
Ajanaku, who made this known during his team’s courtesy visit to Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency, stressed the role of the Agency in helping to further boost the security of the State as MVAA is one of the Agencies that interacts with the public, especially touts, and promised to initiate a training programmes that will be useful for the Agency to fulfill its mandate.
According to him, the training will be done in all MDAs such as MVAA, LASEMA and LASTMA among others, that have daily interactions with the public, with the hope that the Agencies would assist his Office on Security and Intelligence information.
In her response, the General Manager MVAA, Mrs. ‘Deola Adepoju intimated the team on what MVAA as an agency does and reassured the Special Adviser that the Agency will always collaborate with the Security and Intelligence Unit to achieve better results.
She explained the need for taking the services of the Agency closer to the people by visiting the various motor parks and garages in the State in order to make documentation easier for the people.
Adepoju also disclosed that the Agency has concluded plans to replicate the ‘One- Stop’ Centre (presently operating in Oshodi) in other areas of the State like Alimosho, Ikorodu and Epe.
