The Lagos State government has commended volunteer facilitators and beneficiaries for their active participation in the ongoing Ready.Set.Work training programme at the Lagos State Polytechnic, training centre Ikorodu.
Speaking at the event over the weekend, the Special Adviser on Education, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh praised the facilitators that in spite of their busy schedule, they still found time to participate actively in the training of the students.
He disclosed that about 750 Professionals from various sectors of the economy volunteered as facilitators for the programme’s 5000 final year students from eight higher institutions in the State, namely: Lagos State University (LASU) Ojo, Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) Ikorodu, Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) Yaba, Micheal Otedola College of Primary Education, (MOCPED) Epe, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED) Ijanikin, Univerity of Lagos, Yaba College of Technology and Caleb University.
The Special Adviser also implored the participants to avail themselves of the golden opportunity by working hard to succeed after the free training programme.
On his part, Mr. Samuel Olayinka Sogunro, Rector of Lagos State Polytechnic, who played host to the participants, commended Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for increasing the number of participants.
He enjoined the students to be diligent and focused so as to excel in the entrepreneurial part of the programme.
