A total of 1273 Lagos pilgrims have so far been airlifted in four flights by Medview Airline to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2018 hajj exercise.

The State Commissioner for Home Affairs and Amir- ul Hajj, Dr. AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef, who made the disclosure while speaking on the exercise, expressed the determination and commitment of the Lagos State Government to ensure a hitch-free Hajj operation through the provision of necessary support and logistics for the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

In his words “So far, the Akinwunmi Ambode-led Government is doing all within its legal framework to guard against any impediment that may cause unnecessary delay or inconvenience for Lagos Pilgrims”.

He stated that the airlift of others is expected to resume on Friday, 10th August 2018 as scheduled by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and Medview Airlines, imploring those who were yet to be airlifted to be patient as all things are going on as planned.
