The Alimosho General Hospital, Igando, has been commended for its extensive healthcare services to patients who patronise the Facility.
The commendation was given during an inspection tour by the members of Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Health, led by its Chairman, Mr. Akeem Shokunle.
He said the visit was part of the oversight functions of the Committee to inspect capital projects in the health sector and get acquainted with the operations and needs of the facility for enhanced services.
Shokunle expressed satisfaction at the aesthetics and ambience of the hospital environment saying, “it is one that beckons calmness to aggravated patients’ mindset even before seeking consultation”.
While inspecting the Haemodialysis Unit of the General Hospital, he commended the standards which he said can be ranked alongside international quality.
“This is quite impressive; I am pleased by the standard exerted in the healthcare delivery of this Facility. I would love to come for a general health check at the Facility soon”, he asserted.
In his response, the Medical Director – Dr.Madewa Adebajo – expressed gratitude for the Committee’s support in the provision of resources to boost services within the largest healthcare facility in Lagos.
He maintained that with more constant electricity supply and additional manpower, the present quality of services will remain qualitative, consistent and ultimately exceed customer expectations.
“Alimosho as the largest terrain requires constant improvement for progressive measures to cater for the massive daily influx to aid best medical practices at par with international standard”, he maintained.
