The Medical Director, Isolo General Hospital, Dr. Godwin Akhabhoa has attributed the giant strides achieved in health service delivery by the hospital to the Lagos State government for providing necessary support and enabling environment as well as concerted efforts and teamwork by the staff.
Dr. Akhabhoa, who disclosed this while welcoming a delegation from the Ogun State Health Management Board on a study tour of the facility, said that the commitment to quality service and team spirit of staff members has greatly increased the credibility of the hospital in comparison to others.
He added that high-quality health service being provided by the hospital has also increased the number of patients visiting the facility on a monthly basis.
Responding, the leader of the delegation and Director-General, Ogun State Public Service Transformation Office, Dr. Jola Oyeneye, said that Lagos was chosen for the learning tour because of the success stories being heard about health facilities in the State, especially the Isolo General Hospital.
He expressed satisfaction at the observations and knowledge acquired by the 28-member team during the study tour, saying the team would return to Ogun State to implement some of the ideas garnered during the visit.
Recall that last month two different teams from Ekiti and Ogun States had also visited the Isolo General Hospital on a learning tour.
