GENERAL HOSPITAL SOMOLU HOLDS STAKEHOLDER’S MEETING 

The Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of Somolu General Hospital, Dr. Mustspha Adebola Quadri, has said that the management of the facility is determined to make the General Hospital Somolu a one-stop health facility where patients can access an enhanced service delivery to all their medical needs.

The Medical Director stated this at the first stakeholders’ meeting for Y2024 held recently in Somolu. He revealed that residents of the community, through proper collaboration, have a lot to benefit from the numerous services rendered in the hospital, including obstetrics and gynaecology, dental, paediatrics and antenatal, among others. 

He also disclosed that CCTV Cameras have been installed in all the strategic places in the hospital for safety purposes, maintaining that the management will not rest on its oars in its efforts to deliver prompt medical care and good customer service to all and sundry.

While canvassing for prompt feedback from stakeholders on how to serve them best using the Complaints, Commendations and Comment Box, Dr. Quadri advised them to make a concerted effort to make the hospital the cynosure of all eyes, revealing that the State Government has concluded plans to construct another big hospital for the residents of the area soon.

In their remark, SP Agbaro Folorunsho and Udoababi Margaret representing the DPO of Alade and Onipanu Police Stations respectively, while highlighting some of the ways the force has continued to maintain peace and harmony in the community, gave the assurance that they would continue to engage the youth through dialogue on the need for them to live a crime-free life.

In the same vein, Iyaloja-General of Somolu, Chief (Mrs.) Olufojude thanked Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s Administration for bringing quality healthcare to the community.

She pledged the support of residents in making Somolu a better place for all, just as she appealed for a quick response from the state government to the request for a befitting hospital edifice for healthcare in the vicinity. 

Mr. Ladi Omifare, who represented the Chairman, Somolu Local Government Area, Honourable Abdul-Hamed Salawu at the meeting, gave assurance that the council will do everything in its capacity to give residents access to quality healthcare.

While encouraging stakeholders to continue making visitations to the hospital for all their medical needs, he maintained that a healthy state is a wealthy state and that every life matters in the Somolu.

A Seven-Man stakeholders’ Working Committee that would see to residents easy access to quality healthcare service delivery was constituted at the end of the meeting.
