LAGOS ISLAND MATERNITY TASKS STAFF ON INNOVATION, CREATIVITY

The Medical Director/CEO of Lagos Island Maternity Hospital (LIMH), Dr. Olufemi Omololu has enjoined members of the staff of the Hospital, especially the youths, to avoid being static in life, but rather be creative and innovative as they seek more knowledge, in the line of duty, towards better treatment for patients.

Dr. Omololu gave this advice recently in his address at the hospital’s Staff Forum held at the Facility, themed: “2024 Meeting Target for Quality Healthcare Delivery”, encouraging the youths to maintain a very healthy relationship, have financial wisdom and be responsible in life.

Commending the staff in general for their dedication and commitment to work, he admonished the youths to envision the future, have focus and target set goals, irrespective of hindrances towards improved quality of life and excellent service delivery.

He went down memory lane to buttress his point when he nearly gave up on his medical ambition at some point but had to recharge himself and focus fully on set targets and goals in life to become what he is today.

Pharm. Olaleye Modinat Aderonke, in her presentation titled: “Maintaining A Positive Attitude At Work”, urged all staff to always be on their best behaviour and show respect, empathy and passion towards patients as well as towards fellow workers for the sake of peace, quality services and improved patronage.

The event organised for the first time by the youths witnessed the presentations of many awards including Manager for the Month, won by Mrs. Oluwatoyin  Rachel Fadare, a Senior Nurse; Best Worker, by Mr Samuel Adedeji, a Senior Engineer, for Senior Category and Miss Sukurat Labake Aremu, Hospital Attendant, for the Junior Category respectively, among other activities of the day.
