Few weeks after staffers of the Agency won a brand new GAT 200T Salon car on behalf of the Office at the recently concluded Y2021 Public Service Week, the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has again been declared the cleanest government establishment for the month of June by the Lagos State Ministry for the Environment.
Presenting a Letter of Commendation to the General Manager of LASODA, Mr. Oluwadamilare Dairo, at a brief ceremony held in the Agency recently, the Head of Department, Environmental Services, Sanitation Department, Ministry of the Environment, Mr. Lasisi Sikiru, disclosed that the Ministry carried out inspection of over 48 MDAs within and outside the government Secretariat out of which LASODA came first.
He emphasised that monitoring became necessary in order to challenge the people in the public service to keep their offices and environment clean, stating that the competition is a monthly exercise.
“I congratulate the General Manager, the Director of Administration and Human Resources as well as other staff for your efforts in keeping your offices and the environment clean. I will, however, urge you not to rest on your oars”, Sakiru stated,
The General Manager, who dedicated the latest award to the staff of LASODA, especially cleaners and those at the front desk, stated that LASODA is in the season of laurels, as the Office recently won a saloon car, lending credence to the kind of wonderful people in the LASODA team.
He maintained that the recognition will encourage officers to put in more efforts in the area of environmental cleanliness and sanitation.
Recall that the Agency just won a brand new GAP Saloon car when two of the staff came tops in a laughter competition held during the Y2021 Public Service week at the Blue Roof, LTV Agidingbi, Ikeja Lagos.
