Members of the Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship, Kaduna State, a platform that provides leadership training and capacity building for the indigenes of Kaduna have been basking in the euphoria of their experience on the Lagos waterways offered by the Lagos Ferry Services (LAGFERRY).

The fellows, who were in Lagos State for their third-quarter seminar and leadership training, savoured the aquatic splendour experience offered by Governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu, at a dinner organised for the visitors.

Speaking after a boat cruise at the Five Cowries Jetty, the Administrator of the Fellowship, Mrs. Zainab Muhammad, averred that the giant strides and initiative taken by the Lagos State government in addressing the transportation challenges is second to none as evident during their experience with LAGFERRY.

She said, “What the present administration is doing in solving the transportation challenges in Lagos is amazing and commendable. The State government can be said to be strategic in its investment in water transportation as a medium for solving the perennial traffic issues. With our experience of LAGFERRY, I encourage all Lagosians to embrace water transportation because it’s safe, secure and faster”.

“Riding with LAGFERRY has been awesome, the staff are very courteous, professional, they know what they are doing and have been very helpful. They make sure everybody has a lifejacket and ensure adherence to all the safety rules and procedures during the ride”, she added.

While encouraging other States in the Federation to emulate the Lagos State template of exploring all other available opportunities and thinking outside the box to reduce the effect of traffic and pollution on its people, Muhammad stated that LAGFERRY services are at par with international standards as there was a tour guide during their cruise hence, they have gone over and above minimum standards.

Responding on behalf of the group, Mr. Albert Alexandra and Miss. Benny Isabe expressed appreciation to the Lagos State government, as they relished their experience of the ride, stressing that LAGFERRY places a serious premium on the security and safety of all persons using their service.

They urged residents and tourists alike to experience LAGFERRY services, noting that the word “sailing you safely” could be rightly said not to only be their mantra but what they practice and do daily.
