Ajose-Harrison, who gave the charge today at the opening ceremony of the special induction course organised for staff of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) by the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), further informed that the training was to orientate the inductees about the procedure of work and to familiarise them with the Public Service work environment.
He advised participants to continually hone their technical knowledge about water transportation and its regulations, just as they stay attuned to critical Public Service processes including rules, regulations and comportment in order to discharge the responsibilities creditably, adding that as LASWA staff, they play critical roles in the implementation of the Traffic Management and Transportation pillar of the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda.
While encouraging them to participate fully in all the sessions to benefit from the wealth of experience of the facilitators, the DG advised participants to see the induction programme as a critical part of their career development in the State Public Service.
