OFFICE OF STATE AUDITOR-GENERAL SET TO COMMENCE EXIT MEETINGS
The Office of the State Auditor-General (OSAG) has drawn up the timetable schedule for the year 2022 Audit Completion and Exit Meetings, after the conclusion of the statutory audit inspection of accounts and records of the State’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as the periodic checks on its Parastatals Organisation for the year ended 31st December, 2022.
A statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of OSAG, Mr. Moshood Adewale Adewuyi added that the Year 2022 Audit Completion and Exit Meetings will commence from July 12, 2023 to August 1, 2023.
Adewuyi said the Periodic Exit meeting is geared towards enabling MDAs to provide evidence supporting their Audit reports and responses to the audit observations and issues raised in the audit inspection reports forwarded to the Permanent Secretary’s Office. It is also designed to resolve other cases where the need may arise.
Mr. Adewuyi, therefore, enjoined all the Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers of MDAs to personally lead their teams to the meetings as no issues would be resolved without the input of the concerned Accounting Officers.
