RANDLE GH ORGANISES FREE EYE SCREENING FOR DRIVERS
Randle General Hospital, Surulere on Friday organised free medical eye screening for Drivers working with the hospital through its Ophthalmology Department.
Speaking on the initiative, the MD/CEO of the Hospital, Dr. Olumide Sojinrin said the exercise was designed for Drivers to help them to continuously carry out their work diligently without any hindrance.
Dr. Sojinri also informed the drivers during the screening exercise that free glasses would be given to them free of charge based on the recommendations of the Ophthalmologists who carried out the tests.
He disclosed further that the screening exercise encompasses a comprehensive eye examination for all the drivers working with the facility, adding that the programme was organised to ensure they have good eyesight, prevent complications and vision loss in the discharge of the statutory responsibilities.
The Medical Director, therefore, advised the participants to take good care of their sight by embracing periodic eye examinations and visiting eye specialists if they have a problem with their eyes.
The Consultant Ophthalmology, Dr. Funmilayo Oguntoye, remarked that regular eye checks can help prevent vision loss while early detection of eye problems can help prevent complications and blindness.
