LAGOS TRAFFIC RADIO:  RENOWNED PACE SETTER AGENCY IN LAGOS STATE – GROUP

The leader of the Lagos Division Ambassadorial team under the auspices of Lagos State Youth Ambassadors, Ambassador Ismail Atitebi has said that the Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1fm is one of the most versatile and impactful Agency in the State, considering its relevance and impact on traffic management.

Atitebi, who started this during a courtesy visit by his team to the station, called for an improved partnership with the Lagos Traffic Radio to better propagate the team’s vision and ideals, especially because of the recent achievements of the Ambassadorial team in the area of community service and citizen’s engagement in the campaign against drug abuse.

Atitebi during the visit presented a formal letter of invitation to the General Manager of Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle, as a special guest to the Association’s upcoming summit tagged: “Digital Future: Unleashing the Power of Youth in Techno-Cultural Revolution”.

In his remark, Akanle commended the team on its numerous achievements and emphasised the station’s readiness to work with the group towards achieving greater things together. He also assured the visiting delegation that their forthcoming summit would be broadcast live and avenue created for the team to appear on the station programmes to discuss extensively about the event.

Akanle averred that the Station has been adding value to the lives of residents and would continue to do so by ensuring they spend less time in traffic through prompt delivery of travel advisories on Roads, Waterways, and Railways.

He said the Station has grown its daily listeners record from 800,000 in 2018 to the current figure of over two million Listeners, while witnessing tremendous growth on its Social Media Platforms.

He noted that the Station’s adoption of technology in traffic reportage has improved its “Live traffic update” in real-time.

The General Manager disclosed that the Station has also partnered with the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) in order to give updates on train movements even before the establishment of Lagos Blue Rail, urging Lagosians to be on the lookout for more updates on the Lagos Blue Line as soon as it commences operation and the Red Line when completed.
