IKORODU-ITOKIN ROAD: LASG EXPRESSES READINESS TO COLLABORATE WITH FG ON REHABILITATION

The newly sworn-in Special Adviser on Works, Dr. (Engr.) Adekunle Olayinka has promised to collaborate with the Federal Government to ensure the rehabilitation of the Ikorodu-Itokin Road considering its connectivity to many towns and villages in the axis. He disclosed this at a recent meeting with the Management of the Ministry.

Dr. Olayinka also urged the staff of the Ministry to continue to show diligence, professionalism, discipline and respect for one another in their strive to deliver huge infrastructural dividends that the present administration has promised the people of the State. 

The Special Adviser, while expressing gratitude to God for his appointment, urged the Management and the staff, of the Ministry to see themselves as one indivisible entity and work together for the positive progression of the Key Performance Indices (KPIs).

His words, “As a workforce we are all here to serve the people and serve we will to achieve the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda of the administration. We must effectively discharge our duties with all sense of professionalism to meet our Key Performance Indices”. 

He further encouraged the staff of the Ministry to bring on board their various professional experiences in the various fields of practice as well as experiences gathered in service to achieve the State Government’s vision of a Greater Lagos. 

Soliciting the understanding and cooperation of the Management and Staff of the Ministry, Olayinka promised never to look down on people and ideas as much as they would move the Ministry forward.

He vowed to further promote a harmonious relationship with the Legislative Arm of Government, saying “I hope to explore the deep relationship I shared with most members of the House of Assembly to ultimately position the Ministry for effective service delivery to the people”.

The Permanent Secretaries, Office of Works and Infrastructure, Arc. Adebayo Odusanya and Engr. Olufemi Daramola respectively, who responded on behalf of the staff, pledged to work in harmony with the Special Adviser to deliver on the infrastructural promises of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration for the benefit of the people of the State.
