GENERAL HOSPITAL BADAGRY RECEIVES DONATED SOLAR SYSTEM BY WORLD BANK/REA
The Medical Director/CEO of the General Hospital, Badagry, Dr. Olatunde Bakare has received the donated 50KW PV (Solar) System from the World Bank/Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
Speaking during the brief handover ceremony held recently at the facility, Bakare thanked the World Bank and REA, through their representatives, ADVAD Limited and METKA Power West Africa Ltd respectively, for the System, stressing that it will enhance service delivery at the Hospital.
The Medical Director/CEO, represented by the Deputy Medical Director, Dr. Sam Nyemenim and the Director, Clinical Services and Training, Dr. Akinwunmi Akinyemi, appreciated the gesture of the World Bank/Rural Electrification Agency of the Federal Government to improve the efficiency of power supply to the facility.
In his words, “The donation of the Solar System would further strengthen its service delivery to patients and the people of Badagry Local Government Area and other suburbs who depend on the facility for healthcare services”.
The representatives of the MD/CEO, Dr. Sam Nyemenim and Dr. Akinwunmi Akinyemi later assessed and confirmed the full details of the equipment spelt out in the Handover Document before acknowledging receipt of the Solar System.
