The Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) has again won the Edge Outstanding Health Management Agency of the Year 2014 Award making it a consecutive honour for LASHMA having won the same award in the Year 2023.
The Publisher and Chief Executive Officer, Marketing Edge Publications Limited, Mr. John Ajayi, in his address at the Edge Year 2024 Awards ceremony held recently at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, said that individuals, agencies including LASHMA and other brands that were recipients at the event, won the awards based on data, statistics, content reviews, analysis and market insights gleaned from robust investigative journalism conducted by the organisation.
He said that the achievements of individuals, brands and products as well as their impacts on the people, national growth and development, have also made the recipients to be considered winners of the various award categories.

The Publisher applauded all the awardees for their outstanding contributions, adding that they have not only performed creditably well in public offices or private enterprises but that they have also built a brand equity for themselves, which remains admirable and remarkable.
Receiving the Award, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, represented by the Head, the Business Development, LASHMA, Mr. Olatunji Rotimi, appreciated Marketing Edge for deeming it fit to notice the laudable achievements and impact of the Agency in the health insurance space as well as rewarding LASHMA with the award.
Promising that LASHMA would continue to work hard and create more innovations for people in the health insurance space to build on, the Permanent Secretary said that the Agency would not relent in its efforts to ensure that every resident including the vulnerable in the State has access to affordable and quality healthcare services.
Dedicating the award to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, who is the ILERA EKO Grand Ambassador and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Champion, as well as all other ILERA EKO Ambassadors including the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, Zamba called on the residents in the State who are not yet on ILERA EKO, to immediately register and enrol their family members on the Scheme.
The Permanent Secretary said that their enrolment on ILERA EKO, would reduce their out-of-pocket payment of huge medical bills and give them peace of mind. She added that such extra savings could be used for other important needs of the family.
This year EDGE award marked the celebration of the 21st anniversary of the company and 12 years of organising the award.
