MDCN GRANTS ACCREDITATION TO RANDLE GENERAL HOSPITAL TO TRAIN MEDICAL, DENTAL HOUSE OFFICERS

Randle General Hospital (RGH), Surulere, has received official accreditation from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) to commence annual training for Medical and Dental House Officers.

The Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of RGH, Dr. Olumide Sojinrin disclosed this at a forum with the hospital staff, describing the achievement as a testament to the facility’s advancement in infrastructure, equipment and workforce development.

He revealed that the approval followed a comprehensive inspection of the Hospital by an MDCN team, led by the Deputy Registrar, Dr. Nwakanma Nnaemeka. The 12-member team thoroughly assessed RGH’s facilities and readiness to host and train House Officers on an annual basis.

During the inspection visit, Dr. Sojinrin said the MDCN representatives meticulously inspected various departments and wards of the family. The team made careful observations and provided recommendations to ensure the hospital met MDCN’s high standards.

Following the evaluation at RGH, the MDCN team also visited a proposed accommodation building for House Officers in Iponri, along with Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospital in Iyun and the Maternal & Child Centre (MCC) in Gbaja, as part of their accreditation process.

Dr. Sojinrin expressed gratitude to the MDCN for their dedicated efforts and accrediting Randle General Hospital, affirming the hospital’s commitment to meeting and maintaining the Council’s standards.
