The Lagos State Government, in line with its plans to further uplift vulnerable persons in the state, will commence the Social Protection Stakeholders’ Sensitization Campaign tagged: “Lagos Social Protection Programmes Awareness Campaign ” at the Ikeja Division on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
The goal of the IBILE Social Protection Awareness Campaign is to further increase public awareness about the Lagos State Government’s Social Protection Policy as well as its Single Social Register, which currently has about 2.6 million registered persons on its database. It is also to highlight the activities of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Social Protection across the five divisions of the state, namely Ikeja. Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe, respectively.
To this end, the Public awareness campaign tour is poised to bring the Social Protection Policy framework closer to the people and is expected to have stakeholders from CDCs, CDAs, Council Chairmen and residents in attendance. The aim is to allow them to air their views on the impact of the various Social interventions the Lagos State Government has put in place to uplift and empower vulnerable citizens in the state.
The SP IBILE Campaign Tour will kick off tomorrow at the Ojodu LCDA Council Hall, Oke-Ira, Ogba under the Ikeja Division before it subsequently moves to other four divisions in the coming days.
