Earlier today, the Governor of Lagos State; Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Lagos State; Mr Tayo Ayinde attended the 3-Day Retreat for Traditional Rulers in Lagos State.

The Retreat themed; “Traditional Rulers: Anchor in Times of Social Crisis” was declared open by Mr Tayo Ayinde at the Grand Opening of the 3-Day Retreat.

The Governor assured Traditional Rulers that the State will continue to engage them in their efforts to ensure continuous social development, peace and prosperity in the State.

He also applauded them for the key roles they play in contributing to peaceful co-existence, safety and security in their Communities.

Similarly, the Honourable Commissioner; Mr Bolaji Kayode Robert, while giving his welcome address, thanked Mr Governor for his inclusive policy which has afforded Traditional Rulers the opportunity to contribute to the development of the State through their wisdom and rich experience.

Also in attendance is the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government, Chieftancy Affairs and Rural Development; Honourable Sanni Okanlawon alongside other Honourable Members from the Lagos State House of Assembly.
