EKO NAFEST 2022: WE’RE READY TO RECEIVE CONTINGENTS – LASG

As the 2022 edition of the National Festival for Arts and Culture, NAFEST kicks off in a few days, the Special Adviser, Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Femi Martins and the Permanent Secretary, in the Ministry, Mrs. Oyinade Nathan-Marsh have expressed the State Government’s readiness to receive the contingents from other States of the country.

The duo gave the assurance recently when they featured as Guests on Creative Naija (Nigeria), Mainland Radio 98.3FM, Lagos, adding that relevant government officials who will be attending to the needs of the contingents in the area of welfare, security and medicals, among others, are prepared to give memorable hospitality to all state contingents.

Martins said that participants from other States would be pleased with the arrangements already put in place by the government to make their one-week experience in Lagos State memorable.

Speaking in the same vein, Nathan-Marsh informed listeners that the various programmes and activities lined up for the one-week event would feature a flavour of entertainment, saying “Those visiting Lagos State during this period, especially the cultural Troupes from other States will have the privilege of experiencing what the popular phrase ‘EKO FOR SHOW’ truly means”.

The Permanent Secretary also informed that colourful arrangements and surprise packages are already in place for the Opening and Closing ceremonies on Wednesday, 9th November and Sunday, 13th November, respectively, urging Lagosians to be on the lookout.
