EPE COUNCIL BOSS RECEIVES YOMAFA GLOBAL AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE


The Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Animashaun, has been recognised with the prestigious Yomafa and WORA (World Royals Awards) awards for her outstanding contributions to Local Government Service.

Speaking at the awards held recently at Ostra Hotel, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, Chief Leo Taiwo of  Leo Gold Entertainment and Yomafa Global Concept Limited noted that Yomafa celebrates and promotes Yoruba language and culture and projects African cultural heritage to the world.

“Our goal is to redefine the culture of our country, Nigeria as well as Africa and to project it in a way that the global community will not only respect but also be the vanguard through Yomafa Global Awards”, he said.

According to him, the tireless efforts of Princess Surah Animashaun to enhance the lives of Epe residents through her educational, healthcare, security, and human capital development initiatives have not gone unnoticed.

Under Animashaun’s leadership, he said Epe has experienced tremendous growth and development, earning her the reputation as the “new horizon for tourism and investment” in Lagos State.

“The award recognises the Chairman’s commitment to empowering women and youths, particularly through different empowerment schemes aimed at providing skills training and entrepreneurship support to women, men, and young people, helping them become economically independent is truly inspiring”, Leo Taiwo said.

He added that the award, like all others, speaks to the dedication of the Executive Chairman to redefining governance at the grassroots level and creating a better future for all.

While receiving the awards, the Chairman, Princess Surah Animashaun appreciated Leo Gold Entertainment and Yomafa Global Concept Limited, the organisers of the Yomafa Global Award and the World Royal Award (WORA) for recognising her as the World’s Most Befitting Triumphant Woman and Best Performing Female Local Government Chairman in Lagos State.

According to the Chairman, “I dedicate this award to the women folk. We have been working tirelessly and doing well in our Local Government and various sectors. I want to encourage women to keep working hard and believe that everything will be fine, even if they’re not where they dreamed of”.

The award, she said, is a testament to her team’s hard work and commitment, which remains focused on delivering impactful projects and programmes that will improve the lives of Epe residents.

The event drew dignitaries from across the country, including the representative of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Hon. Toyin Aremu; Nollywood artists, musicians, producers and leading broadcasters.
