LASG COMMENDED FOR NURTURING TRIPLETS OF DECEASED MOTHER

The Lagos State Government has been commended for the care extended to a set of triplets who lost their mother at birth two years ago.

In a letter of appreciation presented through the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, the father of the triplets, Mr. Ogboe Lawrence Amen, was full of appreciation to the State Government for the kind gesture.

He revealed that the State Government nurtured his triplets for the past two years following the death of their mother during delivery in July 2019, describing the gesture of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration as a great relief for him and his family.

His words: “Once again, kindly accept my appreciation letter for your kind assistance and support for taking care and protecting my children (triplets). For the past two years now, having lost my wife at the point of birth precisely in 2019, my triplets have not really missed the care of a mother because of the support of the State Government”,

“I appreciate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Lagos State Government as a whole for this great gesture extended to me and my family, especially for enhancing the healthy growth, welfare and well-being of my children”, he added.

Recall that earlier this year, the Ministry’s team in charge of the adoption process and childcare was honoured by Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu sequel to a letter of appreciation received by the Governor for an efficient child-adoption process in the State.

The Department of Social Welfare in the Ministry has continued to receive local and international testimonies of commendation for ensuring that the State provides a safe haven for children over the years.
