LASG KICKS STARTS Y2024 PUBLIC SERVICE WEEK WITH PRESS CONFERENCE

The Lagos State Government is committed to fostering a proactive and innovative mindset among Public Servants, motivating them to leverage their creativity to develop smart solutions that enhance service delivery.

The Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro stated this at a Press Conference organised to herald the 2024 Public Service Week, adding that the goal of the celebration was to effectively implement Government policies and programmes aimed at enhancing various sectors of the economy.

Agoro said the choice of the Theme for this year’s celebration: ‘Fostering Innovation Amid Global Challenges: A Public Sector Perspective” is to celebrate the commitment, professionalism, and dedication demonstrated by Public Servants in the State.

He said that the ability of any nation to survive these global challenges largely depends on the viability of its Public Service to effectively implement the Government’s policies and programmes to improve the various sectors of the economy.

While expressing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the current administration’s gratitude to all Public Servants for their dedication and support in advancing the THEMES Plus Agenda, Agoro reaffirmed Mr. Governor’s commitment to prioritising staff welfare, by approving to celebrate the 2024 Public Service Week to recognise the significant contributions of Public Servants to the administration’s many achievements.

He assured that Governor Sanwo-Olu would roll out more incentives for Public Servants that would make them celebrate even more events.

Reeling out activities lined up for the week, Agoro said the week-long programme will feature a health screening, a long service merit award ceremony, a Walk for Fitness, a Special Jumat and Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service, a Talent Show, and Donation to Orphanages, amongst others.
