LASG PRESENTS CASH GIFTS TO FINALISTS OF GREATER LAGOS TALENT HUNT
The Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Femi Martins has presented cash gifts to all the finalists of the just concluded Talent Hunt segment of the 2022 Greater Lagos Fiesta across the five IBILE divisions of the State.
Martins said that the cash reward, presented to the participants who emerged as the overall winners in each of the centres of the event, was a token from the government to encourage talented youths to continue to be dedicated and grow their creative skills.
He added that in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s plans to groom more talented youths in all parts of the State, the Ministry has designed a platform for the Talent Hunt participants to leverage on and be involved in the activities of the State through the Ministry.
The Special Adviser expressed gratitude to the State Governor for graciously granting approval for the event which he said, assisted in discovering new talents and sustaining a peaceful atmosphere throughout the festive period.
The Chairman of Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Honourable Fatai Oluwa congratulated the Talent Hunt winners just as he informed that the State Government has already given them leverage to succeed in the creative field.
A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Desmond Elliot, attested to the success of the Fiesta across the various centres, adding that the Talent Hunt segment added glamour to the Greater Lagos Fiesta event.
Elliot identified the need to document the performances from the Talent Hunt segment of the Greater Lagos Fiesta, revealing that a short documentary which captured the interesting performances has been produced for documentation and reference purposes.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Oyinade Nathan-Marsh pledged the support of the State Government to help youths who have interest in the creative sector.
