NAFEST 2022: LAGOS CULTURAL TROUPE PREPARES TO OUTPERFORM OTHERS
The Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture (LSCAC), Mr. Idowu Johnson has expressed optimism about the expected performances of the State Cultural Troupe as it prepares to host the 2022 edition of the National Festival for Arts and Culture (NAFEST), next week.
The Director, during the rehearsal of the group at the National Arts Theatre Iganmu, commended the troupe on their readiness to put up scintillating performances at the forthcoming festival.
While commending their performances during rehearsals, especially the aspect of the “OSUSU” playlet, Johnson implored the team to work harder in order to come out tops among other cultural troupes that are expected at the Festival.
He also appreciated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the resources made available for the hosting of the event and for the top-notch preparations by the troupe towards ensuring a successful festival.
It should be noted that this year’s edition of the National Cultural Festival, tagged: “NAFEST 2022”, being hosted by the Lagos State Government would be held between Monday, 7th November and Sunday, 13th November at the National Stadium, Surulere.
