OLOWORO OF OWORO COMMENDS TG/PS OF EDUCATION DISTRICT II

His Royal Highness, Oba Babatunde, Saliu, Eteubo II, the Olworo of Oworo Kingdom has commended the dedication and commitment of the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye to the upliftment of education in the district, extolling in glowing terms her exceptional leadership which has resulted in the success recorded by the district in recent times.

Welcoming Mrs. Anike Adekanye and her entourage during a courtesy visit to His Palace, the Royal Father applauded the TG/PS for positively impacting the frontiers of knowledge in her jurisdiction. “I have heard a lot about your accomplishments at different fora, your good name has reached the Palace before you”, he affirmed.

Responding, the TG/PS said the visit was part of preparations for the upcoming Mega Yoruba Cultural Fiesta scheduled for a later date this year. The Mega Yoruba Cultural Fiesta is designed to develop and promote a robust relationship between the District and its environs.

Mrs. Adekanye also informed the Oba of the unwavering support of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to the education sector in the state, noting that his commitment and inspirational leadership to the sector since his assumption of office.

She also appreciated the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Ali-Balogun for being passionate about Education and Technology as the third pillar of the THEMES Plus agenda of the Lagos State Government while not leaving behind all stakeholders in Education District II.

The TG/PS had in her company the NUT Chairperson, Kosofe Zone, Mrs. Bolanle Mayungbe; Principals of Comprehensive Senior High School, OLOWORO OF OWORO COMMENDS TG/PS OF EDUCATION DISTRICT II, Mr. Adedeji Adesanmi; Anthony Village Senior High School, Mrs. Agboola Adejumoke; Ojota Junior High School, Mrs. Adigun Romoke; Ikosi Junior High School, Mr. Yusuff Lateef and Muslim Junior and Senior Colleges, Messrs Oni Olalekan &  Sanusi Kabiru, with some students of the District.
