… As Another 200 Beneficiaries Receive Financial Aid
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Dr. Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen has said that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu deserves accolade for his unwavering dedication and commitment to assisting vulnerable Lagosians under the Financial Assistance Social Intervention Programme.
He stated this in an address at the presentation of cheques to another set of 200 beneficiaries n Thursday at the Office of Political, Legislative & Civic Engagement Conference Room, Alausa Ikeja.
Afolabi said the inclusion of many vulnerable Lagosians
in the financial assistance programme is a testament to the inclusivity, social welfare and tangible strides being championed by
Mr. Governor’s initiative to alleviate hardship and create opportunities for all residents to thrive.
In his words,”This initiative underscores the Governor’s profound dedication to uplifting the most marginalised members of society, ensuring that no one is left behind in the quest for a Greater Lagos Rising”.
“We have people that have health challenges, the visually impaired and physically challenged amongst us, all you need is an Application letter with your phone number, stating why you need the financial aid, your LASSRA Card, Passport photograph and once we can verify your claims, we send it for approval and call you to pick up your cheque”, he explained.
Speaking on the Ilera-Eko Health Care Scheme, the Special Adviser averred that the scheme is another laudable initiative aimed at improving healthcare delivery, promoting wellness, and ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare services for all residents of Lagos State, especially the vulnerable population. Hence, there is a need to register for the scheme as it has been duly subsidised by the State Government for the low-income individuals.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Omotoye Nelson appreciated the Lagos State Government and the Special Adviser for the financial aid, noting that the present Administration’s commitment to serving the people of Lagos State with dedication and integrity shows that citizens’ voices are being heard and will never be forgotten in a hurry.
